Meet our Pastors
“Pastor Tim”, as we like to call him, has been our church’s Valentine since he became our Senior Pastor on Valentine’s day 2009.
Just prior to coming to Winter Garden’s First Baptist Church he had worked as a Ministry Catalyst with numerous ministries and churches around the country. This exposure and experience has given him great insight into leading our church in this new century. Prior to that he served as Executive Director at
The church has come to love his straight forward and challenging messages. He has brought the simple but life changing message of the two reasons we are alive: “To love God and to share Gods love with others”. He also brings a great sense of humor. He likes to say: “if we can’t giggle every few minutes then someone is doing something wrong!”
His wife Carol works as an Elementary School Principal and they have 5 children two daughters-in-law and two grandchildren. They all attend our church.
Pastor Tim loves the challenge of leading a historic church in a historic setting to be both a place that honors the past and stays on the cutting edge of contemporary church ministry.
“Pastor Keith” Currently our Executive Pastor and our Youth Pastor, Keith has served our church since 1982 when he joined the team as Youth Pastor. He added the role of Executive Pastor in 2011 in order to facilitate the rapidly growing ministry of First Baptist, which is now expanding to a second campus. He is married to Susan who grew up in First Baptist. They have two daughters and a son, a son-in-law and has two wonderful grandchildren. Keith works to develop leadership and give support in all areas of ministry
Keith and Susan met in college, graduated from University of Central Florida, married and moved to Texas for Keith to pursue his master’s degree at Southwestern Theological Seminary, where Susan worked as a social worker. Upon his graduation they returned to Winter Garden, where they’ve lived on her family’s farm place. Susan has been called alongside Keith in ministering and made her primary role raising their children. As Keith has said over the years (for you “stay at home moms”), Susan has been, “Socializing homo-sapiens into the dominant values of the Judaeo Christian tradition in order that they might be instruments for the transformation of the social order into the kind of eschatological utopia that God willed from the beginning of creation.”
Keith and Susan consider themselves blessed to be part of Winter Garden’s First Baptist Church and community for these many years.
“Pastor Will” our Family Pastor, grew up in Winter Garden, attended First Baptist as a teen, serving as an intern in student ministry then graduated from the Florida State University in graphic design, and followed with a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He and his wife, Kerry met at Southwestern. They grew up thirty minutes from each other in Central Florida, but met over a thousand miles away in Fort Worth, Texas.
Pastor Will gives oversight to our children and family ministry, uses his graphic artist degree in many areas of church publications, and promotion. He ministers to the whole church family and to families in the community through our recreation ministry which varies from Upward children’s sports programs to men’s basketball and coed volleyball. One of his passions is surfing so he gives leadership and input to the surf expo held in Orlando and Christian Surfers.
Pastor Will is the one who coined our phrase, “Who you looking out for?” as we seek to make a difference in Winter Garden, as Winter Garden’s First Baptist Church.
